Kingsbury Pallets Strengthens Its Position With Rotom Deal

A note pinned to a board saying 'important annoucement' to share news of Kingsbury Pallets joining forces with Rotom Group

Kingsbury Pallets is excited to share that they have joined forces with the prestigious, Dutch-based Rotom Group.

This collaboration has not only strengthened our position in the UK but also given us the option to collaborate with Rotom’s European operations.

Rotom is a leading provider of load carrier services and solutions (wooden and plastic pallets, metal roll cages, reverse logistics, rental and pooling services) across 11 European countries and Kingsbury Pallets are proud to join a hand-picked consortium, to join forces with the Rotom Group, including All Pallets Ltd in the UK, Lievaart-Slaghuis in the Netherlands and Englmeier in Germany.

Each new partner to the Rotom Group brings its own unique business focus to the group. From our 34,000m² sites in Tamworth and Lichfield, we process 40,000 wooden pallets and packaging items weekly. Within our new and reconditioned
wooden pallet, pallet recovery and recycling services, we recycled 15,000 tonnes ofnwooden packaging per year. This, coupled with our extensive fleet of 20 HGVs, 50 trailers and more than 150 roll-on/off containers, made us the perfect partner for Rotom Group to extend their influence into the UK market.

Our commitment to sustainable practices closely aligns with Rotom’s environmental goals. The sustainable infrastructure we have designed and incorporated into our custom-built Tamworth facility includes a sophisticated 100 kW solar installation, which powers an electric Untha XR shredder and recycling line, reducing carbon emissions by 22.3 tonnes annually. Our accreditations, including the Forestry Commission, Environment Agency, and Wood Recyclers Association, also aligns with Rotom’s commitment to responsible operations.

Arjan Kuiper, CEO of Rotom Group, stated:

We are thrilled to welcome the highly- skilled Kingsbury Pallets team, who not only strengthens our presence in the important UK wooden pallet market, but also brings together valuable expertise in sustainable practices. Kingsbury Pallets’ values align seamlessly with our own, and together, we’re excited to foster a future focused on innovation, growth, and sustainability. We look forward to working closely with the new team to drive shared
success.

We are all very excited about Kingsbury’s future and would like to thank all our past and present team members and customers for their commitment and support in creating the business we are so proud of.

Jon Towers will continue in his current role as Managing Director, overseeing day-to-day operations and the smooth transition of Kingsbury Pallets into Rotom. He said:

Over the last 30 years, we have worked incredibly hard to grow Kingsbury Pallets into one of the most sustainably focused suppliers of wooden pallets across the UK. Now, by joining Rotom Group, we have the opportunity to expand our mission even further, backed by the resources and vision of a like-minded leader in sustainable solutions.

It is a reflection of all of our hard work and dedication and the eco-focused approach that we have been recognised by the equally committed team at the Rotom Group. We look forward to developing our business and ethos with them.
