At Kingsbury Pallets, health and safety is always a priority for our team and customers.
To ensure that we meet all of our responsibilities, in April 2022 Louise, who has been with us for over 6 years, took on the role of Trainee Health & Safety Officer, working alongside our Health and Safety Consultant.
Louise wasted no time and successfully completed and passed the IOSH Managing Safely Certification and began preparing a comprehensive health and safety plan.
Between August and September 2022, Louise organised Fork Lift Truck (FLT) driver refresher training which every necessary team member attended.
At the same time, Louise continued working hard for her own NEBOSH General Certificate Exams and in February 2023, the results were in… Louise had passed with flying colours and was now Kingbury Pallet’s qualified Health & Safety Officer.
In our mission to ensure all of our team follow best health and safety practices at all times, in April 2023, our Unit & yard Supervisors passed their ‘Train the Trainer’ courses. This meant that we now had a certified competent base so we could provide in-house training for our pallet operatives.
As well as our commitment to health and safety, we are also committed to improving sustainability in all aspects of our service and processes. In May 2023, our Recycling Team passed their NPORS Refresher Training for the safe operation of plant machinery involved in the production of recycled wood products such as animal bedding & biomass.
We also encourage staff progression and aim for a positive health & safety culture in the workplace where dedication and hard work is recognised. In June 2023, two of our Pallet Operatives successfully gained promotion and passed their FLT training to be able to fulfil the requirements of their new roles safely.
To ensure the ongoing health, safety & well-being of our employees, we provide all employees with annual Occupational Health monitoring, and we regularly review, refresh & improve our training methods to ensure the highest level of expertise & ongoing support for both existing & new employees.
If you are interested in working for a company that genuinely cares about the health and safety, and well-being of its team and are hard-working and conscientious, please send your CV to supervisors@kingsburypallets.co.uk.
We look forward to hearing from you.
